Who We Are Looking For:
A trusted contributor to the accounting and finance team, you’re a skilled bookkeeper who can process payments with speed and accuracy. With a proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, you can keep up with whatever invoices come your way.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Track, process, and reconcile payments, purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, refund requisitions, and more, all in compliance with financial policies.
- Perform daily activities for the full payment cycle, process all invoices, and ensure vendors are paid accurately and on time.
- Ensure correct approval, sorting, coding, and matching of invoices and receipts, and prepare and process checks for multiple companies.
- Work with the Director of Payables to audit and verify expense reports, update and maintain the vendor database, and prepare 1099s as needed.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field. Plus, proven work experience as an accounts payable specialist or clerk.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software and a love for spreadsheets that makes calculating, posting, and managing financial records a breeze.
- A strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles and a desire to continuously improve the payment process.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize so that all invoices are processed quickly and efficiently.
