We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst (BA) with a strong coding background and Agile expertise to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. This role requires a mix of business analysis, software development knowledge, and Agile methodologies to ensure seamless collaboration between stakeholders, developers, and product teams. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in coding, system analysis, and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
Essential Functions And Job Responsibilities
- Business & Technical Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Work closely with developers, architects, and product managers to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and feasibility studies for new initiatives.
- Define and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows in Agile environments.
- Coding & Technical Collaboration
- Leverage coding expertise (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, or similar) to assist in prototyping and system analysis.
- Review technical designs and assist in troubleshooting issues with developers.
- Work with APIs, databases, and system integrations to ensure technical feasibility.
- Collaborate on test cases, debugging, and data validation when needed.
- Agile & Project Management
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure smooth Agile delivery.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Assist in prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value and technical complexity.
- Support QA testing efforts by defining test cases, verifying results, and ensuring quality.
- Process Improvement & Documentation
- Create and maintain technical documentation, process workflows, and user guides.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend automation or system enhancements.
- Ensure data-driven decision-making by analyzing trends, system usage, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Software Developer, or similar hybrid role.
- Experience collaborating with SaaS application teams for both enhancements and support.
- Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Experience in health insurance is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile tools.
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of UX/UI principles, wireframing, and prototyping tools.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-PBA, CBAP, or Agile BA.
