Payroll Specialist

Who We Are Looking For:

An experienced Dallas-based payroll specialist with multistate payroll experience, you’re a master at managing high-volume payroll processing and resolving state and local tax issues. A key part of the People & Culture team, you can answer any payroll question and you take pride in ensuring your coworkers are paid accurately and on time.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain payroll data, calculate wages, issues statements, detail earnings, and prepare paychecks for a high-volume, multi-state payroll to ensure employees receive their pay on time.
  • Research and resolve state and local tax issues, prepare periodic payroll reports, and apply for unemployment and withholding accounts in new states as necessary.
  • Verify and process timesheets, enter employee information and payroll data into the system, and calculate payable hours, commissions, bonuses, taxes, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, investigate and correct payroll discrepancies, and process records for new employees, employee promotions, and terminations.
  • Issue statements detailing earnings and deductions, deliver paychecks to employees, and answer employee questions regarding payroll.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Demonstrated work experience with multi-state payroll and strong knowledge of payroll taxes.
  • A certified payroll professional with a degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Paycor, our payroll software.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
